Bailey the Little Runaway

I think I have told everyone that Bailey has started swimming class.  It is absolutely the cutest thing ever.  She takes the class at the YMCA and she loves it.  We have had he best time going to swim class, except for last Tuesday.
Last Tuesday class was great and Bailey did a super job.  After class we were in the locker room and I changed her clothes and we were getting ready to pack up and leave the locker room and I went to wash my hands.  I was talking to Bailey as I was washing my hands, got done, turned to look at her and then turned around to get a paper towel.  I got the papertowel, turned back around and she was gone.  I wasn't really worried because this locker room has lots of little nooks for lockers and then a section for changing rooms, showers, bathrooms, steam room, etc...so there were lots of places for her to sit and kind of be hidden.  So I called out her name, "Bailey?"  and then nothing.  So I called her name again and then nothing.  So I start to run around the locker room a little panicked now screaming her name because I think she is playing.  Then I hear a door close.  Not like the door to the locker room but a locker door, so then I think maybe she closed herself in a locker.  Because there is just no way that she could have opened the locker room door by herself because its too heavy AND because she was showing some major interest in the lockers prior to swim class and asking me how they work, etc.  So now I am screaming her name (really screaming) because I think she trapped herself in one of the hundreds of lockers and I have no idea if she really did and if she did which one????

So then total panic and hysteria set in and I am running around bawling crying thinking that either my child dissapeared with a stranger or is in a locker with no air to breathe.  So I left the locker room to go and find someone to help me.  I ran upstairs to the front desk and barely able to speak told the lady, "I can't find my little girl!!!!"  Let me tell you this is the worst thing I have EVER had to say.  EVER.  Worst feeling I have ever felt in my life.  There are 4 ladies behind the desk and they are all just staring at me. Which means that they haven't seen her either.. Then a guy comes walking up to check in and go work out and he says, "I think she might be out in the parking lot.  There are two girls out there with her."  So I take off to the front door and there she is as happy as can be with two girls bringing her inside.  She was waiting for me by my car.  BY MY CAR.
How in the world she opened the locker room door by herself, ran past all FOUR ladies at the front desk BY HERSELF and was not noticed at all I will never know.  And then to get out to my car she had to leave the building and that means going through two HEAVY doors and CROSSING THE STREET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And she was doing all of this while I am running around the locker room thinking she shut herself in a locker.
The only way I guess she got out to the parking lot is by pressing the handicapp button on the doors which kids love to do...because its like magic and the doors open for you.  But Bailey had never ever used that one before so I dont know how she found the button in such record time PLUS I dont know what came over her because she doesn't like to be out of my sight.

So I felt like a bad mom for about a day.  How could that have happened?  I seriously wasn't watching her for 1 second!!  But I guess these things happen to all of us at least once...I just pray and hope that it never happens again (which it won't because I am totally buying Bailey one of those leash things you see some parents have hooked up to their kids) j/k!   Moral of the story:  Don't underestimate the power of a 3 year old who is hungry and has been promised Clifford books at the library.  Or maybe she just has super human speed...(and if she does she totally got that from me:)

It has been 2 months since I have blogged..crazy!  So since it has been soooo long I thought I would catch everyone up with all of the pictures I have taken in the last few months.  Well, not exactly ALL of them but at least some of them..

LAKE TAHOE:

Other than that Bailey turned 3:)

The Gymbus came to our house (its a big bus with all of the seats ripped out and lots and lots of gym equipment inside..I think everyone had fun!  I know Bailey did..

Bailey started dance class:

And swim class: (Bailey is on the right)..

Oh..and soccer...this is a picture of her with Clifford at soccer.  Each week a kid in her class gets to take home Clifford (he comes with his very own kennel)  and then you have to write a story about your adventures with Clifford.  Obviously Bailey can't do this which means I have homework to do tonight.  So I guess I should get to it...

Pics of house remodeling coming soon:)

It's About Time

Finally I can say...Baby #2 is on the way!!!!!
We heard the heart beat today.
AND saw pictures of the little guy/girl:) on the ultrasound..
I have been feeling sick and extremely tired for weeks now
I didn't experience any sickness with Bailey (I say sickness because I don't know who came up with "morning sickness" because it lasts all day)...and I wasn't tired at all with Bailey either.
But it's all worth it:)
Anyways, just wanted to share the news!!

Table Dancing

So I haven't had much to say lately just been SUPER busy..but I feel like my blog is neglected so here's a little story from today:

I go to pick up Bailey from school and when I walk in of course Bailey runs over saying, "Mommy!!"  and making me feel like the best mom because she's smiling and so glad that I am there.  Then I start talking to her teachers and they tell me that Bailey was upset because she was up on top of one of the tables and dancing and they made her get off.  She told them, "My mommy dance on tables all the time."

Seriously.
This is not true.
Where she gets this I do not know.
But I DO NOT DANCE ON TABLES.

I'm pretty sure that they think I am the craziest/worst mom ever.  If you need more evidence look here.

I think soon enough I will have a top ten list of most embarrasing things my child has done/said in public.
That post coming soon, I am sure.

OOOPS

My husband is constantly on the phone.  Constantly.  Unfortunately he can't help it because of his work and even though it is totally annoying it is something that I have had to get used to.  He is busy busy busy all the time and often gets sidetracked.
Which leads me to this:  for Mothers Day he went to the store and got two cards, one for me and one for his mom.  We still have not seen his mom and so the card last night was sitting on the countertop in the kitchen not filled out and not in the envelope yet.  I thought I would read it.  So I did and here is what it said:

MOM, My heart remembers,
I know I get sidetracked (totally)
with all that's happening in my life,
but my heart remembers who it was
who listened to my endless stories,
who held me tight, (awww so sweet)
and assured me there would be other boys, (huh?)
other dances, other friends.. (um pretty sure this was meant for a daughter to give to her mom?)
and so on

I was laughing so hard that I of course ran and told Matt his mistake (because Im sure when he picked this out he was half reading the card and let me guess probably on the phone) and he thought it was pretty funny too.  BUT now I'm so mad that I said anything because it would have been so funny if he would have given that to his mom..
So I guess its dangerous not only to talk on the phone while you drive but also when you pick out cards.

Each week at Bailey's school they have a theme.  Last week the theme was "All about Mommy".  So they did all sorts of stuff that had to do with moms.  One of the things they did was go to each kid and ask them what their mommy's favorite food was.  They put it on a poster and put it on the front door so when you walk into the room its the first thing you see.  It went something like this:

Alivia's Mom:  Asparagus
Zoey's Mom:  Chicken
Tyson's Mom:  Noodles
Sienna's Mom:  Broccoli
and then it went on an on and at the very bottom it says
Bailey's Mom:  French Fries

Seriously, I don't eat french fries that much!!  Rarely unless were at a restaurant and my meal comes with Fries do I eat fries.  So anyways I look like a great influence on my 2 year old right?

The next day when I go to pick her up there is a new poster outside and it says "What I like to do with mommy"

Alivia:  Play outside
Kelly:  Go to the park
Emma:  Cook
Luke:  Play with my toys
Jaden: Read
Bailey: Go to McDonald's

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?  Seriously does she want child services to come pick her up and take her away??  We don't even eat there hardly at all and that's her favorite thing to do?  In my defense they did say that she said something else first but they couldn't understand her (which I translated for them and she did say "play outside with chalk)  but since they couldn't understand her they asked her again and she said go to McDonald's.  What can you do?  I guess it is pretty funny!
Hope all of you moms had a great Mothers Day!!
