Cujo, Butterflies and the Zoo

Many of you have met my precious pup Fletcher. He is a gentle giant...so sweet and honestly quite the scaredy cat.. So imagine my surprise when yesterday at 8:15 in the morning there was a knock on my door and there was a police officer on my front porch. The police officer was there to tell me that there had been a complaint about my dog and that he had charged someone who was walking by my house with their dog. (I'm trying not to laugh as I write these words)..the police officer was very nice and I could tell he could care less about this "anonymous" complaint (because of course I wanted to know who had said evil lies about my dog:) The policeman was there for all of 1 minute and then was on his way...
My problem is I'm pretty sure I know who this complainer was...and they walk past my house with their yappy little dogs every day who growl and bark at my Fletch (who I might add is in his own yard) and Fletcher always wants to play..so what I am assuming happened was that this person was walking past my house and Fletcher ran up to them (probably barking) and wanting to play.. yes he looks intimidating, I get that..but seriously he couldn't hurt a fly...my neighbors dog across the street who weighs all of 20 lbs chases my 120lb dog all over my yard several times a week..
lucky for me this must be someone who lives way far down my street because all of my neighbors love Fletch and know he is quite the sweetheart..anyways that is how my Sunday started:) Ugh...
But before all that drama...

Friday Bailey and I went to the Butterfly House . It was so much fun and Bailey really got a kick of all of the butterflies flying all around her..it is such a neat place and I am glad she liked it. I was kind of afraid it might freak her out..

Then later that night when Matt got home I had rented Confessions of a Shopaholic and he actually agreed to watch it with me (he was thrilled)..
I rented it because I read the book..and I have to say the book was way better (and I totally hate when people say that) but its true in this case. But I love love Isla Fischer who is the main actress in the movie...she was really good.

Saturday was the hottest day so far this year so we thought we would take a trip to the zoo..Actually my cousin and his wife and kids were in town so we had already planned to go and it just ended up being almost 100 degrees..

But the kids loved it..Bailey got to pet a goat and ride the train and see penguins and hippos, etc..

And then of course on Sunday I had football all day! Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

More fun at the pool...

Ok so as you can tell Bailey and I have a pretty exciting life this summer. We go to the pool a lot. So that is why I haven't really posted anything lately because there isnt really anything that exciting going on!
We do love going to the pool though! The only bad thing is when we get done we always eat there and have pizza or hotdogs and smoothies and all sorts of other junk that by the end of the summer is going to make me as big as a house... But bailey loves it so of course I can't dissapoint her..ha ha:)

Seriously look how happy she is sucking down this sugar filled strawberry smoothie with pizza all over her face..

So Tired..

Many times at the end of the day when I put Bailey to bed I wonder if she had a fun day, did she get to play enough today, did we get outside enough, etc...(basically I wonder "was I a good mom today or a so-so mom today"...well today I think she had a good day!

We went to little gym today..which she LOVES. We did lots of tumbling and running and playing with bubbles so she was super happy.

Then later in the day we went to the pool with her friends Skylar and Bianca (my friend Natalie's little girls)..and they had a blast..

And after all that and running some errands we took Bailey's sweet new ride out for a spin around the neighborhood..

Did I mention that it was way over 90 degrees today...and I am so exhausted but Bailey not so much..she is still running around the house and it is way past her bedtime! I guess I thought some good mom karma was going to come my way and I was going to sit in front of the tv and read my people magazine that I just got in the mail..but maybe not:)

Decision Made

Finally we have decided we are staying in a house and not at the resort...I dont know why it has been such a hard decision for me...but I know we are going to have so much fun. We definitely need a vacation!!!! It is scary going someplace you have never been to before...I get scared that the house is going to be next to a dump or something.

Family Vacation

This week I have been trying to figure out where we are going to go for our vacation in August. We usually go to Naples, FL. But with Bailey going with us this year we have pretty much ruled it out because we dont think we can handle her on a plane right now. She is just too busy. So we are still going to Florida but we are going to the Destin/Seaside/Watercolor area which is a lot closer so we can drive....still going to be a looooong trip but not nearly as far as Naples. So my dilemna is where do we stay??? Here are the options:

1. Rent a house in Seaside. Positives: CUTEST town ever, can walk or ride a bike everywhere, will have house with kitchen and more space

CONS: house isnt across the street from the beach its 3 blocks away and there is a community pool but I have no idea how nice it is or isnt...

2. Stay at resort at Watercolor.

Positives: pool and beach right there, someone to clean up our messy room everyday

CONS: small room, little town not quite as cute as Seaside (from what I can tell, but I have never been there)

So those are my choices...what do you think?? Cause I am having major issues making up my mind...

Other than that Matt and I took Bailey to the park today... here are some pics from that.

Fun or not?

My huge, giant dog is such a baby. He does not like the vaccuum cleaner because he thinks it might swallow him up. He doesnt like the swiffer because it makes weird noises. And now poor Fletcher is being terrorized by a one year old who likes to chase him around the house with her stroller and baby..

Lucky for Fletcher we left the house soon after to go to a baby shower. Bailey was wearing a new dress that our friend Pam bought her...it is the cutest dress!!

This is the best picture I could get...this baby does not pose for the camera! We ended up getting home late and getting to bed way too late so we slept in this morning and missed out on watching my friend Natalie in a triathlon! Boo! Natalie if you are reading this we were thinking about you!! Sorry we missed it:(

playdate and new office

I cant believe it has been over a week since I have posted anything. We have been busy just doing STUFF...basically I have just been busy trying to keep up with Bailey..she is the busiest little girl on the planet I swear.

Yesterday we had a fun play date over at Natalie's house. Bailey got to play with her friends Skylar, Bianca, Mackenzie, and her newest friend Madeline! She had so much fun, the big girls even put her in a Tinkerbell outfit.

Thanks Natalie for having us over and letting us destroy your house. We can destroy mine next!

Speaking of houses I thought I would finally post pictures of my new office...

If you remember before it was a living room area that we never ever used..except we kind of used half of it as a play area for Bailey. Here are the before pics again:

We are pretty much done except for a few things so I thought I would go ahead and post the pics

New French Doors

New chairs and that doorway wasnt there before..

I had to put a huge calendar there so it could help me keep up with all of Matt's stuff..

Window seat and closets were not there before..still need to get new window treatments

Our desk (its not new:)
Like I said, pretty much done except eventually we want to get crown molding...
Hope everyone is having a good week!
