Baby Boy Room

After many months of deliberation we have finally picked out a few things for the baby room..
Shopping and decorating for a baby boy is much harder {in my opinion} than for a girls room.  Just thought I would share a few things that will be in there...
 This is his new bed {don't pay attention to the bedding..of course that will be sports related:)}
 To go on the walls:

Nope his name won't be Paxton...it will say Braden and have footballs under it NOT baseballs of course.  But you get the idea:)

We haven't actually purchased the rug yet but will soon..
And there are a few other things that will be in there that I didn't include..
but just wanted to give a preview:)
This is definitely a change from pink and purple!!

December Wrap-up

Here are a few highlights from our very crazy December:

Bailey took the Super Sibling Class at the hospital where I will be having the baby.  The class was just a short one hour class where little kids learn a little bit about what it is going to be like being a big bro/sis.  There were about 7 other kids in the class including Bailey's good friend Emma so she had a great time!

This is the video of her practicing holding the baby:)

This was the little puppet they used that was the "big sister"..she told all of the kids what it is like to have a new baby in the house.

Here is Bailes and Emma:)

Matt bought a Gingerbread Train for he and Bailey to put together.  She thought it was the greatest thing ever and by Christmas there was no candy left on the train..

We had a couple of snow days this December..this was one of them.  Bailey and Matt played outside for a LONG time..and Bailey still cried when she had to come in.

But then it was all better because I made hot chocolate..and it was served in a princess mug which made it that much more FABulous.

Bailey saw Santa:)

My side of the family came over on the 23rd and we had Christmas...lots of mass chaos with kids opening lots and lots of presents.  It was SO fun!

Christmas Eve we went over to Matts parents house where Bailey loaded up on even more presents.  We had a great time and I forgot my camera:(
This picture was taken after Bailey went to bed and when I caught Santa eating cookies in our family room! (icaughtsanta.com)  First thing Bailey said when she saw this is, "Mom why is Santa watching TV?"  good question..next year I will remember to turn the TV off!

Here is Bailey and her Bitty Baby (American Girl doll lingo for those of you who don't know:)  they got matching tutus for Christmas!

This guy was super tired from all of the present opening
Nan, Bailey, and Grammy Kim
 Grammy Sue, Bailey, and Grampy

So that is pretty much it...or at least all of the pictures that I feel like uploading today.
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!

My Little Guy

A couple of days ago Matt and I went to get 4D Ultrasound pictures of Baby Boy Biermann (no, still no name:(  )  The pictures turned out great and the lady who did the ultrasound said he is perfect.  I thought I would share some of the pictures..for those of you who don't look at ultrasound pictures on a regular basis when the picture looks wavy or blurred just remember he is in fluid and is moving around quite a bit:)

Isn't he cute???!!!

Oh and if anyone has any ideas on baby boy names let me know...  I never thought I would be a person who could go to the hospital to have her baby and STILL not know the name but it is looking more and more like that everyday.  And I really want to personalize a few things in his room like this or this.  My goal is to have a name by the end of this week!!  So if you have any ideas send them my way..

Excuses

I need my polka dot blanket
I need my bitty baby
I need Lamby
I need water
This water tastes icky I need different water
 I need to go potty
 My throat hurts
 My bottom hurts
You only read two stories we should read 3
What's inside a pillow mom?
Tell me a story

This is what I hear every night as I am trying to put this girl to bed.  We
are struggling with bed time.  I lose a little bit
more of my mind every night between about
8 and 10pm.  Tonight I put her in bed at 8pm and it is
now officially 9:57pm
and thankfully Matt just got home from work to
help because my patience is
wearing thin:)  I think it ran out
somewhere around 8:45.

Besides our bedtime struggles I did want to add a
few Halloween pictures:)

We all had a great time..it was tons of fun
watching Bailey really get after it this
year with the trick or treating.
She was all about the candy!!  We have SO
much candy in our house right now...I
need to get rid of it..and not by eating it!
Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Bailey the Little Runaway

I think I have told everyone that Bailey has started swimming class.  It is absolutely the cutest thing ever.  She takes the class at the YMCA and she loves it.  We have had he best time going to swim class, except for last Tuesday.
Last Tuesday class was great and Bailey did a super job.  After class we were in the locker room and I changed her clothes and we were getting ready to pack up and leave the locker room and I went to wash my hands.  I was talking to Bailey as I was washing my hands, got done, turned to look at her and then turned around to get a paper towel.  I got the papertowel, turned back around and she was gone.  I wasn't really worried because this locker room has lots of little nooks for lockers and then a section for changing rooms, showers, bathrooms, steam room, etc...so there were lots of places for her to sit and kind of be hidden.  So I called out her name, "Bailey?"  and then nothing.  So I called her name again and then nothing.  So I start to run around the locker room a little panicked now screaming her name because I think she is playing.  Then I hear a door close.  Not like the door to the locker room but a locker door, so then I think maybe she closed herself in a locker.  Because there is just no way that she could have opened the locker room door by herself because its too heavy AND because she was showing some major interest in the lockers prior to swim class and asking me how they work, etc.  So now I am screaming her name (really screaming) because I think she trapped herself in one of the hundreds of lockers and I have no idea if she really did and if she did which one????

So then total panic and hysteria set in and I am running around bawling crying thinking that either my child dissapeared with a stranger or is in a locker with no air to breathe.  So I left the locker room to go and find someone to help me.  I ran upstairs to the front desk and barely able to speak told the lady, "I can't find my little girl!!!!"  Let me tell you this is the worst thing I have EVER had to say.  EVER.  Worst feeling I have ever felt in my life.  There are 4 ladies behind the desk and they are all just staring at me. Which means that they haven't seen her either.. Then a guy comes walking up to check in and go work out and he says, "I think she might be out in the parking lot.  There are two girls out there with her."  So I take off to the front door and there she is as happy as can be with two girls bringing her inside.  She was waiting for me by my car.  BY MY CAR.
How in the world she opened the locker room door by herself, ran past all FOUR ladies at the front desk BY HERSELF and was not noticed at all I will never know.  And then to get out to my car she had to leave the building and that means going through two HEAVY doors and CROSSING THE STREET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And she was doing all of this while I am running around the locker room thinking she shut herself in a locker.
The only way I guess she got out to the parking lot is by pressing the handicapp button on the doors which kids love to do...because its like magic and the doors open for you.  But Bailey had never ever used that one before so I dont know how she found the button in such record time PLUS I dont know what came over her because she doesn't like to be out of my sight.

So I felt like a bad mom for about a day.  How could that have happened?  I seriously wasn't watching her for 1 second!!  But I guess these things happen to all of us at least once...I just pray and hope that it never happens again (which it won't because I am totally buying Bailey one of those leash things you see some parents have hooked up to their kids) j/k!   Moral of the story:  Don't underestimate the power of a 3 year old who is hungry and has been promised Clifford books at the library.  Or maybe she just has super human speed...(and if she does she totally got that from me:)
